A birth doula supports a person during their pregnancy and birth journey, whatever that may look like. This includes prenatal preparation, education, support of the partner, as well as continuous support during the labor and birth process.

I support birth clients who are planning for a birth at a hospital (including Cesarean sections, though I might not be able to support you in the OR depending on hospital policy), birth center, or at home with a trained midwife.

A postpartum doula supports new parents in the period following the birth of their new baby, with a primary emphasis on supporting the postpartum mom. This includes support with newborn care, breastfeeding & infant feeding, light household support, as well as a variety of other specific needs that may come up.

I work with clients in the greater Bay Area, centered around the East Bay. There is an additional travel fee for clients who live more than a 30-minute drive away from me.
